Our client, an established electrical engineering firm, is currently recruiting a Contract Health & Safety Officer to oversee project activities at Dublin Airport. Reporting to the Contract Manager, the successful candidate will be solely responsible for managing the client’s health & safety requirements on an ongoing project.
As Health & Safety Officer, the duties & responsibilities will include:
Carrying out safety inspections
Carrying out risk assessments and method statements when required
Liaising with the DAA representatives on permits and ongoing project requirements
Investigating incidents
Ensuring compliance with legislation and DAA site rules

The Successful Candidate will:
Have a 3rd level qualification in Health & Safety
Have 3+ years’ experience in Health & Safety with an electrical or mechanical engineering background

Have a full clean driver’s licence

Be fluent in English with strong communication skills

Be available for night-work and weekend work

This position, based on a pharmaceutical site in West Dublin, includes the ongoing development of site-based DCS automation systems together with automation support of minor capital projects. This position forms part of the automation department supporting manufacturing and reports directly to the automation manager.


  • Provide system support and system maintenance in accordance with the company’s standard procedures.
  • Maintain existing and newly-installed equipment in an controlled documented manner.
  • Ensure that the GMP systems are kept in a validated state and any changes are documented in accordance with change control.
  • Support new manufacturing constructions and capital projects as assigned.

Core competencies:

  • DeltaV DCS architecture, standards and best practice
  • Validation and change management
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant Engineering discipline/ Computer Science or equivalent is preferred
  • 5-10 years automation experience in the pharmaceutical industry

This position is a contract position minimum 1 year duration.
